Lynden Miller Garden
In 1996 Semel traveled to Sharon, Connecticut to shoot the garden of Lynden Miller. Miller was a landscape architect for many public gardens and urban parks in New York including those of New York Botanical Society, New York Public Library, and Bryant Park. She was formally trained in horticulture. Her eye for color and form threads throughout her work in public parks into her own garden. This is captured in Semel’s photographs of Miller’s garden where a lush landscape was carefully cultivated.
